Sudan Human Rights Defenders Coalition (SudanDefenders)
Promoting and Protecting Sudanese Human Rights Defenders Across Sudan
is a network of groups and individuals of Sudanese Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) dedicated to promoting and protecting Sudanese HRDs across Sudan. It was established on June 10th, 2022, with 28 individuals and organizations adopting the Kampala Declaration. SudanDefenders is hosted by the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders (DefendDefenders) and is a member of the Pan-African Human Rights Defenders Network (AfricanDefenders) and the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Network(EHAHRD-Net). SudanDefenders is governed by an Executive Committee elected every year by its General Assembly and guided by the Board of Directors which seats once a year to assess the progress of the coalition.
