SudanDefenders' primary focus is to ensure the safety and protection of HRDs so that they can continue to do their human rights work. Our protection team works closely with international and regional providers of protection services to assist HRDs at risk with emergency protection. As part of the program, protection interventions are implemented to ensure short- and long-term security support for human rights defenders, including risk assessment, solidarity visits, trial monitoring, emergency protection grants, relocation, respite, psychosocial support, and resourcing resilience.
